Integrating Information Visualization and Dimensionality Reduction: A pathway to Bridge the Gap between Natural and Artificial Intelligence

By importing some natural abilities from human thinking into the design of computerized decision support systems, a cross-cutting trend intelligent systems has emerged, namely, synergetic integration between and artificial intelligence. While intelligence provides creative, parallel, holistic thinking, its counterpart is logical, accurate, able to perform complex extensive calculations, tireless. In light such integration, two concepts are important: controllability interpretability. The former defined as ability receive feedback follow users’ instructions, while latter refers human-machine communication. A suitable alternative simultaneously involve these concepts—and then bridging gap intelligence—is bringing together fields dimensionality reduction (DimRed) information visualization (InfoVis).
